Great book for public health and health commnunication

I bough this textbook for my health communication course. I found it so helpful I didn't sell it after the semester was over. It's a great book that teaches you how to be culture-sensitive, how to relate to patients, and how to meet the needs of patients when there are communication barriers. I totally recommend this book if you are working or planning to pursue a career in health communication, public health, or even medicine!

Wonderful book

I used this book for a health communication class, it is SUCH a great book! The author presents a lot of interesting stories and personal experiences. The language is very simple yet it uses language that is relative to public and community health. Some of my favorite stories in the book include the stories about Christopher Reeves experience with disability and a story of a family that had to accommodate a young child's disability. All in all, this is one of the most fun to read textbooks that I have ever read.
