About the Author
Ikeda Masakazu graduated from Meiji Oriental Medical Institute in 1968. Since that time he has devoted himself to the clinical practice of acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine. He has taught many apprentices and presented numerous seminars in Japan as well as in Australia and the United States. He is the author of over 20 books in Japan, among them a well-known handbook series featuring clinical interpretations of the classics, including Basic Questions, Divine Pivot, Classic of Difficulties, and Discussion of Cold Damage. Ikeda Sensei is currently the academic director of the Meridian Therapy Association of Japan, and is in private practice on the island of Shikoku.

Great book on Japanese acupuncture.

pros...this was one of the books that really gives a good insight into the world of Japanese/Meridian acupuncture. For those of you out there, there are different styles of acupuncture in the world. Japanese or Meridian acupuncture is more based on the very classic Chinese acupuncture. Most schools here in the US teach a very different style of acupuncture, called Zang/fu which is more based on organs and has a Chinese herbal slant. While the Japanese or Meridian style is based on meridians or lines of energy vs. the organs.

But you can't go wrong with this book, with either style of acupuncture you do. Well at least if you are a pragmatist like myself. I like to find the good and useful and integrate it into my treatment style. I find that the point location and point combinations are very different from Zang fu style acupuncture. Of course if you understand what I'm talking about then I hope you can appreciate the knowledge that is stored in the book. And they have really cool and memorable drawings in the book which help with understanding the concepts.

cons...not much. Sometimes a bit difficult to get, but well worth the price and the knowledge inside. Lots of clinical pearls of wisdom inside.

Good information that is not available in other books. In his first look my husband found a solution for a client with a very unusual problem who had not been helped by any other methods. Maybe that was a fluke but it was a tremendous help for this particular person, and worth the investment for her even if nothing else comes of reading it -- but we have high hopes.

For me, are very good book, but you need in first step read or study some classic books or your school need to pass the basic, in my opinion. Really I saw the "classical in action", but the contet required a lot of time to study and think and surch in classic books.

The subject of sexual congress between human and beast is heavy stuff. It moves sexuality to a higher (or lower, have your pick) dimension, for the object of lust is not another human, or an inanimate object, but a living oprganism capable of its own pleasures and lust. Crossing interspecies barriers is not something to be taken lightly.
All religions and most political systems are very displeased with the notion of man-beast sexual congress. Not so long ago, conviction of such an activity would lead to burning at the stake. Bestiality has intrinsic gravitas.
The book by Midas Dekkers is best defined in terms of what it is not: certainly it is not a "how to" book, nor is it an erotic or lascivious tract. Even is many illustrations lack eroticism. The book leaves most things involving the actual coupling up to the reader's imagination. Nor is it a scientific tract, nor a survey, nor a sexology book. It covers art, and history, and plenty of gossip. Things of that nature; so if the potential reader is seeking a perverse little jolt, this book is not the way of obtaining it.
It explains, in passing, that the most frequent human-animal contacts occur between male and beast; that the woman-animal connection is fairly rare but yet appears more frequently in art and literature than the male-beast duo. The explanation for this is that until recently women were poorly represented as artists and writers, and therefore it was men who defined the acts and perhaps ventilated their fantasies in the process. The many portrayals of Leda and the swan attest to this. The swan, incidentaly, was Zeus in disguise.... Now there is an example of the little gems of information that abound in the book....
Mankind's sexual apetite crosses all species that will accommodate the architecture involved, from chickens to eels, from apes to elephants. The reader would certainly like to know a little more about the mechanics involved, but the book is reticent about such matters.
"Dearest Pet" is a translation from the Dutch. It contain a bibliography heavily weighted with German and Dutch entries, and a fair index that itemizes the wide variety of playmates mentioned in the book, from Airdales to zebras.

If you are looking for a book to simply explain the "How to's" (although it does contain some sexual details) this is not it BUT if you are looking for a book that will stimulate your mind, is full of profound theories as to the history and culture differences that bestiality conveys around the world, look no further. While a very small amount of information is very mildly opinionated, it does satisfy two things. Firstly, it is hard to put down and stimulates the mind to consider, ponder and perhaps sympathize with an alternative sexual lifestyle that is not as morally perverse as many think considering its historical background over the last few thousand years. Secondly, it offers quite insightful comments on our love of animals from a sexual and non-sexual sense. This is a book you can read and learn from. Education is a wonderful thing, ignorance is pitiful. The author does not try to persuade you of a sexual lifestyle you may condone or object to but simply lays out facts for you to draw your own conclusions including some clever thought provoking comments like why we are fascinated by fur coats and leather, why certain animals are fond pet favorites. It also deals with factual historical details on bestiality. Some of the origins which you may find downright astonishing and religously could be considered blasphemous. If you are disgusted by the subject matter, read this and perhaps gain an insight why others are not. If you are mildly interested in understanding the subject read on. If you have a fascination for the subject, read and learn why. Whatever your reasons, you don't have to agree with everything but you will gain an education. If you are simply looking for porn material, go buy a magazine with pictures and few words or rent a video.

Little Red Riding Hood is one of my absolute favorite fairytales and I enjoyed Tipton’s Cinderella retelling immensely

After reading What the Queen Wills, I couldn’t wait to read Hunting Red. Little Red Riding Hood is one of my absolute favorite fairytales and I enjoyed Tipton’s Cinderella retelling immensely. I read this so quickly, I didn’t even know it was over. I knew this was supposed to be a short story, but I wanted so much more. It is not that it was lacking, but I liked it so much, I wished there was more.

Like What the Queen Wills, Hunting Red is a gender bent retelling that worked. I didn’t know where Tipton was going to go but I think they did a phenomenal job with their reinterpretation. Tipton is a master of erotic scenes, making them sexy without being ridiculous or full of silly innuendoes. After reading What the Queen Wills, however, I expected there to be something different than your typical MF coupling. I was disappointed in that aspect but the erotica scenes were written so well that I didn’t mind. My favorite part, however, was the cameo from Amelia from What the Queen Wills.

I have read two short stories from Tipton now and loved them both. I can’t wait to read more.

This lustfull fairytale, you can't turn the pages quick enough this complete twisted version of a classic fairy tail is great. Where the main characters are larger than life. Great twist in the end. Was given this book for an honest review.

What did you love best about Hunting Red?
I liked that Captain Red tricked the evil women that is trying to poison his grandpa.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hunting Red?
How the author tied book 1 and 2 together by having Red rescue Amelia even though he didn't know who she was. That was cute especially when Amelia hints that she would like to stick around for a lot more than a verbal thank you.

What does Audrey Lusk bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She is just a great voice for Eroctia. She tells the story at a face enough pace to keep your heart beating fast.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When I thought that Red had accidentally poisoned himself. I thought Oh no he can't be saved. But our wonderful author was really tricking us as she had Red trick the evil lady trying to steal everything from his family.

This is an audio well worth listening too. AJ has a major talent for these short erotic stories.

His head was cut off and sent to Marobodus [a barbarian king] and by him sent to the Emperor; and so at length received honorable burial in the sepulcher of his family.” - Paterculus, ancient Roman historian Every great nation or empire has had at least one horrific military loss or disaster in their history, and the Roman Empire, perhaps the greatest empire that ever existed in the Western world, was no exception to this rule. While Rome certainly suffered defeats and outright massacres over the course of its long and storied history, none of them were as disturbing for the Empire as the battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 CE. This battle, which took place in Germany, is also known as the Varian disaster, named after the governor of the Roman province, Germania Publius Quinctilius Varus. Varus was not only the Roman governor of the Roman controlled sections of Germania, he was also the highest military authority, being able to make decisions as to the who, what, where, when, why and how of military maneuvers and operations. It was Varus, then, who was in direct command of the Roman legions destroyed in the battle. The battle remains pertinent not only to military historians and archeologists but also to modern military officers around the world as well. As recently as 2009, the United States of America’s Army Command and General Staff College published a work that focused upon the Roman legions in the Teutoburg Forest. This work was an examination of the battle in order to help understand the failures made by Varus, and how to avoid them. While it may seem unusual for a modern military to examine the mistakes of the past, it isn’t; the Army used the battle as an example of how a theoretically inferior force, the Germanic warriors, were able to defeat a superior force in the Roman legions. Indeed, the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest featured some of the finest fighting forces in the world – the Roman legionaries – and a group of people whom the Romans didn’t consider human at all – the Germanic tribes. Nonetheless, the battle between these two forces, in the narrow confines of the Teutoburg Forest, would be a turning point in the histories of both nations. Never again would Rome seek to establish a colony and create a functioning province out of the Germanic area; in fact, the Romans never ventured east of the Rhine River after the disastrous expedition. For the Germanic tribes, while they would later suffer from punishment excursions by various Roman legions following the battle of the Teutoburg Forest, they proved that they could hold their own against the might of the Roman Empire and that their land was indeed their own. Good story

I thought this book about the battle of Teutoburg Forest was interesting especially because the training of the Roman legions played a major part in the disaster. According to the book, Roman legionnaires were severely punished for cowardice and any type of major infractions which forced the widely scattered units to attempt to fight when possibly running might have saved the bulk of the legions. Of course I will not forget Arminius who persuaded the Roman governor Varus to trust him while he led the Romans to ruin. The most interesting thing to me about the story is that Arminius was never able to unify the German tribes under his rule. I guess the best thing about this battle from the German perspective is that Rome never tried to conquer and annex Germany into a Roman province again.

Never underestimate your enemy or overestimate your own ability.

This was a very concise and interesting work. Shows that no matter how good you are, there's always some one who's a little better. The Legions had trod very heavy footed just about everywhere they went, but the Forest showed the world (such as it was) that they were able to be beaten. The Germanic tribes that did
unite were more than enough to decimate three legions.

I said I wouldn't read this until I could see the movie (witch would have been when the DVD released because I can't hear) so you can see I c
Just couldn't wait and I'm so glad I didn't!!!!! I love beauty and the beast in many different books with vast variation's each... But this book is now one of my favorites ever I can't wait to see the DVD asap!!!

An absolutely beautiful version of Beauty and the Beast. I haven't seen the movie yet but the book gives some wonderful details and expands on what they are thinking and feeling more.

Words are not adequate to describe the Tale as Old as Time.

Enchanting from the very beginning......
Belle lives life every single day in the village doing then same things everyday.
Finding escape only in the world of her books.
Though parts of this story vary with the Disney original Beauty and the Beast, this one is a masterpiece in its own right.
It seemed to fill in where the film version left openings for. The storyline flowed perfectly, smoothly and was enchanting from the beginning. Gaston is the normal beastly egotistical self-centered person as in the film.
The humor in the book was refreshing and exhilarating! You will to keep turning the pages till the very end. True beauty is found within.
It maters not how beautiful you may appear from the outside, If you are hideous on the inside does your beauty really matter?

A favorite now and forever!
